“Phantom of the Opera” (silent classic) with Live Music

Get a jump on Halloween fun this year – along with the giggles – as the original Phantom of the Opera makes an Annapolis appearance!

Movie and horror buffs along with anyone who likes to laugh will revel in Larry Molinaro’s musical take on the 1925 silent film.  His original musical accompaniment to this rare big-screen viewing includes samples from some very recognizable pieces.  Over the years, a special game has evolved from these screenings – The Ballerina Twirl Count! See if you can count the number of times she twirls!

Afterward, find out how Mr. Molinaro created this score and how he plays it on St. Anne’s pipe organ with a special organ “tour” after the film!

This special event kicks off the St. Anne’s Concert Series for the season.  There will be a kick off party begins at 6:30 p.m. in the church yard (weather permitting).

Tickets for adults (anyone 13 and up) are $15.  They are on sale now at the Maryland Hall Box Office and will also be sold at the door.  Students with valid IDs get a free ticket 1/2 hour before the film starts.
