Friday, May 29
7 p.m. SOLD OUT
& 9 p.m.
at the O’Callaghan Hotel
John Barry Restaurant & Bar
Love the sounds from the Swing Era? Then you’ll want to join Live Arts Maryland’s womens ensemble, Cantori, and director Laurie J. Hays for Sentimental Journey, celebrating the beloved music popular during WW1 and WW2.
With VE Day, Naval Academy commissioning and Memorial Day all happening in May, this the perfect time to recall the music that boosted spirits and lifted hearts during those very difficult years. We’ll recreate a USO canteen feeling in the John Barry Restaurant and with music made popular by the Andrews Sisters and many more.
You’ll hear songs like Java Jive, Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree, Always, Every Time We Say Goodbye and many more. The evening also includes a salute to our armed forces!
This special evening co-hosted by the O’Callaghan Hotel on West Street in Annapolis. Cabaret guests will enjoy a special reduced-price, small-plates menu available for sale at the event, a special drink of the evening and free parking while space is available.
Cabarets are intimate events so seating is limited to 50 patrons per show. Make sure you’re there at the 7 or 9 p.m. performance!
It’s a great night out in Annapolis so mark your calendars!
