Saturday, Nov. 7, 8 p.m. One Night Only!
Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts
No one appreciates a great live music experience more than Live Arts Maryland Music Director J. Ernest Green. One of the area’s most visible and enthusiastic cheerleaders for music of all kinds, if he hears something he loves, he wants everyone to share the experience with him.
This concert, Music for a New World, is exactly that. For this evening, Mr. Green, the Chorale and the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra will perform some of the pieces he’s most excited about some known and some brand new, creating an evening of breathtakingly ethereal music. Hearing these musicians perform this music in the Maryland Hall theatre with it’s newly added sound clouds should make this a sublime evening.
On the program are John Rutter’s magnificent Requiem paired with a stunning new piece by Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo, called Sunrise Mass.

The addition to this lineup of Henryk Gorecki’s Symphony #3 (mvt. 2) completes an evening of ethereal and beautiful music. Preview it here.
