Join J. Ernest Green, the Annapolis Chorale, Annapolis Chamber Orchestra, and special guest, flutist Mimi Stillman as they celebrate the arrival of spring on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at 8:00pm at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.
This final program of the Annapolis Chorale’s 2018-2019 “Season of Seasons” will celebrate the beauty and diversity of the greatest natural resource in our region, the Chesapeake Bay, with the world premiere of “Chesapeake Triptych: Cry of Earth’s Tidal Places,” a new choral/orchestral work by composer Kathy Wonson Eddy commissioned by Live Arts Maryland. The concert will also feature the regional premiere of composer Dan Forrest’s LUX: The Dawn from On High. In addition, world-renowned flutist Mimi Stillman will join the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra for Mozart’s beautiful concerto for flute in G Major.
On Thursday April 4, 2019 at 7:30 p.m., the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra and guest artist Mimi Stillman go on the road to Washington College’s beautiful Hotchkiss recital hall in Chestertown, MD. There they will present a program of music by Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, and Piazzolla and a preview of the “Chesapeake Triptych”. Tickets and more information can be found at: www.washcoll.edu
